BIOGRAPHY
"Jon LeRoy is a Jazz/R&B Pianist/Organist. He started playing piano at the age of 13, and started playing professionally at the age of 16. Since a high school career of choral accompanying and marching band, and a SUNY education, he has been performing for nearly 4 decades. In that time, he has performed with such local favorites as Nancy Kelly, Ronnie Leigh, Nick Brignola, Dan D'Imperio, and many others. He has also performed with such national artists as The Ink Spots, The Four Freshman (both while touring with the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra), Jerry Weldon, Richie Cole, and Aretha Franklin. Jon currently heads up his own jazz organ-based group, The Jon LeRoy Trio, and freelances in the Capital District and Central New York(Utica, Syracuse, Binghamton, Rochester), as a jazz/rock/R&B pianist and organist"

The Jon LeRoy Trio debuted in 1999. We continue to play and back up with many of the capital district’s best jazz instrumentalists and vocalists; playing for the New York State Assembly, The Aids Council, and numerous Capital District Jazz Clubs.
Mike Novakowski is the area’s “Go-to-Guy” for jazz guitar and is an incredible jazz guitarist who brings together some of the best parts of Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall, Herb Ellis, and Kenny Burrell. He has performed with The Empire Jazz Orchestra, The Theresa Broadwell Quartet (along with his wife), and several other jazz groups on the local scene.
Andrew Hearn joined our Trio in 2013 and brought his incredible energy, drive, and precision to the group. Andy has played with countless jazz groups, blues groups, and notables, in and out of the Capital District.
Jon LeRoy, also known as the Capital District’s Largest Jazz Organist facilitates the group's performance of straight ahead jazz, funk, Latin, and contemporary grooves.
The Jon LeRoy Trio features the music of Miles Davis, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Jaco Pastorious, and many other great compositions from various performers, artists, and entertainers. Spending an evening experiencing our Trio will have you entertained, swinging, and in the groove!
